Running a pay-per-click advertising campaign is a way of providing an instant boost to your search engine results.
Pay-per-click engines promote your website through a set of chosen words or phrases ('keywords'), on which you bid an amount of money.

An advert (usually called an 'ad' by pay-per-click engines) for your site will be displayed every time one of your keywords is entered into the search engine.
